Dwelling in the Fuchun Mountains, ink scroll painting by Huang Gongwang
Dwelling in the Fuchun Mountains ~ Huang Gongwang

"Return to the root, obtain the essence
Follow the appearance, miss the source"

Thus Come, Thus Gone…

Herein lies a new rendering of a poem from the legendary Zen master Sosan,
Entitled Hsin Hsin Ming

Mind on No Mind

This poem is the essence of Zen.

A work of total surrender and pure awareness,
A profound expression of the ultimate,
One of the greatest masterpieces of humanity.

To deeply understand the source of these words,
Rather than the strict dictionary definitions,
Is to see the Way.

To see the Way
Is to flow with the Way,
To flow with the Way
Is to flow as the Way.

What is the Way?

The Way is the Dao:
The Undefinable,
Infinite,
Eternal,
Absolute.
All of existence.

Dao is Truth.

Continuous exposure to this poem
Causes the depths of the mind to quietly and effortlessly shift,
Transforming thought patterns
And one's relationship to the various mental afflictions.

This particular collection of words
Exists nowhere else in this galaxy,
Each stanza is more valuable than a talent of gold.

Inhale the classic Zen fragrance from this freshly baked rendition!

And remember…

There is only the Way,
Only Truth.

What could be more important than Truth?
